Skywarp was scared; his brother Thundercracker had left him alone, saying that he wasn’t worthy of his protection, so he had no one but the Autobot Blurr.

‘But Autobots hate Decepticons,’ Skywarp thought, ‘He wouldn’t have a problem leaving me alone, to offline in the darkest, coldest part of space.’

Truthfully, that was what Blurr was planning, but when he checked up on Skywarp to make sure he wasn’t doing anything dangerous when he realized he was crying.

‘You have got to be kidding me,’ Blurr thought as he watched Skywarp cry. He thought about along with his plan, but he couldn’t just leave him there.

Soon his conscience got the better of him and he went over to the crying Starscream clone.

But he came to fast, surprising Skywarp, causing him to put his arms over his head, “Please don’t hurt me,” he begged, trying to cower in the rocks.

Looking at the shivering seeker, Blurr couldn’t help but feel sorry for him. It wasn’t hard for Blurr to figure out that Skywarp was the embodiment of Starscream’s cowardice, and he wouldn’t feel right leaving him alone like this.

“Skywarp, I’m not going to hurt you,” Blurr said, “Seeing as you are, in lack of better words, a coward, I don’t see the harm in letting you come with me, but no funny business alright?”

“You’re not going to leave me alone,” Skywarp asked surprised.

“Well, I would feel bad leaving you alone to fend for yourself,” Blurr admitted.

“Oh thank you, thank you,” Skywarp said happily with teary optics, hugging Blurr.

“Okay, stop hugging me, this is awkward and weird,” Blurr said blushing.

Blur and Skywarp had been wandering around endlessly in space, trying to find Cybertron or Earth, or any planet with some kind of intelligent life forms for over two weeks.

Skywarp stayed close to Blurr, crying out and clinging to him whenever he saw something that casted a shadow.

“Look Skywarp, I know that you’re scared, but you need to toughen up,” Blurr said.

“But…”

“No buts! Being brave doesn’t mean having no fear, but having the courage to face them,” Blurr said kindly, “What you need to do is to find something worth fighting for.”

Skywarp thought about what he said, and it made a lot of sense. But he didn’t think he had anything worth fighting for.

His siblings, (if you could call them that) didn’t give a slag about him. They just saw him as a cowardly nuisance.

As much as it hurt Skywarp to think it, he didn’t have anyone.

The next morning they came across a small orange planet, so they decided to stop on it to see if there was anything that could help them find a way back to Cybertron or Earth, and to find water to help clean themselves up.

“What was that,” Skywarp asked when he heard something moving around in the tress.

“It was mostly like just the wind,” Blurr answered, not at all annoyed by how close Skywarp was to him. He was use to it by now.

A loud set of growls filled the air.

“I don’t think that was the wind,” Skywarp cried hugging Blurr.

“I’m guessing it was some sort of animal,” Blurr said, “It’s probably more scared of us then we are of it.”

The growling grew louder and some green beast jumped out and attacked Blurr.

“That doesn’t look like fear to me,” Skywarp said backing away.

Skywarp just stood there as more of the green beast came and attacked Blurr. Then he realized something; Blurr could easily just run and they would to flying off. But he was staying behind to protect him, because Blurr knew that he would be too scared to do anything.

‘Why am I such a coward,’ Skywarp asked himself. ‘Blurr has done so much for me. He let me stay with him, he helped me, he protected me, yet I’m just standing here.’

When Blurr let out a cry of pain when one of the green beasts scratched his chest plate, something over came Skywarp.

As if moving on his own he ripped the green beasts off of Blurr and tossed them. They quickly stood up and started growling but Skywarp shot at him.

It didn’t kill them, but it hurt them, and it scared them into running off.

“Skywarp…you saved me,” Blurr said surprise.

“I remembered what you said to me, that courage is fighting to protect what you care about,” Skywarp said blushing grabbing one of Blurr’s servos.

Blurr stared up at Skywarp speechless for once.

“But there’s something else that I want to find the courage to do,” Skywarp said shyly.

“And what would that be,” Blurr asked smiling up at him.

Blushing badly, Skywarp pressed his lips against Blurr’s for a kiss.
